UP ITTC Full-Time Courses (Certificate in IT)

The UP ITTC offers full-time information technology training courses. The specialization tracks include: Applications Development, Network Systems, and Mobile Computing and Embedded Systems. Admission and scholarship examinations are conducted annually from Feb. to May at the UP Diliman Campus (Quezon City) and in various areas outside NCR.

Qualified enrollees include college graduates of Computer Science and IT-related courses and graduates of other courses who possess high aptitude for IT, and have been aspiring to become part of the IT industry. Classes are held from Monday to Friday at 8am-5pm, including the Japanese Language course.

UP ITTC full-time students get to take Nihongo lessons daily to prepare for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) Levels 3 and 4. They are also primed for the PhilNITS Fundamental Engineer (FE) examinations held bi-annually, every April and October.

Youth Conference in Information Technology (YCIT)

The Youth Conference in Information Technology (YCIT) is back! Last held in Teatro Marikina on 04 Feb. 2005, it was attended by more than 1,000 senior high school students from Marikina City and volunteers from Roosevelt College. YCIT 2010 is hosted by UP ITTC and UP SITF in cooperation with the UP Diliman Department of Computer Science . Its schedule is on 17-18 Feb. (Tue.-Wed.) at the University Theater in UP Diliman.

UP ITTC Short Courses

UP ITTC Short Courses are modular and the duration of each module can be three days to two weeks, taken on a part-time basis. We also offer night classes for Cisco Certified Network Associate 1 (CCNA1); the fee is PhP10,000. Starting January 2010, full payment shall be required on the first day of classes (failure to do so would mean cancellation of your slot). Thank you. We accept credit cards

UP ITTC, in its pursuit of excellence and quality service in its operations, concluded its initial audit for certification to the ISO 9001:2008 International Standards with ABS Quality Evaluations last 31 Aug. 2009. UP ITTC is the first IT training center in the Philippines to be ISO 9001:2008 Certified. This is part of its commitment to be the preferred and leading provider of world-class IT training and services in this part of the world.

The ISO Management System Certificate of Conformance, as signed by Mr. Alex Weisselberg, ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. President, was awarded by Mr. James Chan to UP ITTC last 19 Nov. 2009 at the Chateau Verde in UP Diliman. The certificate was accepted by Prof. Armin Sarthou, Jr., UP Vice President for Development, with Dr. Jaime D.L. Caro, UP ITTC Director. UP ITTC staff were also present.

Several steps have been taken by UP ITTC to prepare and qualify for the certification, including the standardization of internal processes, monitoring and measurement systems, and the development of a quality management system, which now serves as the framework for continual improvement. The recommendation for certification by ABS Quality Evaluation came at a time when UP ITTC was busy preparing for Y4iT 2009.

The ISO 9001:2008 Certification is part of the continuing program of the training center to introduce world-class management systems to better serve its targeted clientele and industry partners. (ISO 9001:2008 is the international standards for quality management systems.)
